Condolences

Condolence From: Linda Kerin
Condolence: I met Clarisse 36 years ago when I married my husband John. She had a black lab whose name was Baba. She said it meant Grandma in Hungarian. Anytime we came to visit, she would feed us and of course send us home with something, for the road. When John would visit her without the rest of our family, she would send him home with something for each of us. Usually cookies or candy for the kids, and a purse, clothes or even a toaster for me. She would always tell our daughters how beautiful they were, and the boys how handsome & strong they were. All 3 of our sons had helped with their Dad in some chores around her place. She remembered each of our 7 kids by name when she called on the phone & asked about each one, how they were doing & where they were. She was a very smart & resourceful woman, independent & self sufficient. She was an inspiration. She was dearly loved and will be missed. Felling at a loss as we werent told she had died, so we didnt get to go to the funeral. Last we talked to her was Thanksgiving. Rest in peace with Jesus Clarisse. We love you.

Condolence: A dear friend for 50 years missed already. When I was a little boy we lived a few houses away from her. So while trick or treating she asked me to help her around the yard and house because her husband was in bed with cancer. That is how I started working for her and our friendship began. She had her own ways and most time you could not change her mind on how she wanted to do something. But I was able to accept that when some people could not so she had a hard time with people. I heard the stories of her escape from Hungary when she was a youth going over the Alps in wagons. Her family's wealth and 6000 acres lost. Coming to America and working as a waitress and then maid to her husband whose wife was dying of cancer and the wife asked her to marry her husband when she was gone and she did. He was the chief financial officer for Macy's in New York. So she went from a very wealthy family to dirt poor back to a wealthy lady again. But through all that she never wanted to just spend money on her self or lavish things. She still has 2 old small picture tube TV's so new flat screens for her. Also her old Honda would have to quit before she would think about a new one. But I still loved her like a grandma. I'm happy to share just recently when she got home from the hospital I visited her and we talked about her faith in Jesus as her Lord and Savior and her eternal home in heaven. So I know she is in a better place now with no pain or suffering and I will see her again some day. With all my love John Kerin
