Gillette – Megan E. Reilly passed away suddenly at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston on November 8, 2018. She was 57.
Born in Plainfield to the late Edward and Barbara (Keating) McNelis, she lived in Gillette for over 24 years, moving here from Budd Lake.
Megan was a registered nurse, and served as an emergency room nurse and nursing supervisor for Overlook Hospital in Summit for 32 years. She is an exempt member of the Westfield Rescue Squad where she had served over 15 years. Megan was also an avid fan of the NY Mets.
Surviving are her loving husband of 24 years, Michael, her sister Aimee Ritter and husband John, brother Mark McNelis, sister-in-law Maureen Buzzeo, mother-in-law Polly Reilly and eight nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are by the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1021 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ 07933 (973) 647-1603.
Memorial Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A Family Remembrance Service will take place at 6:30 PM. A celebration of Megan’s life will follow. Funeral and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Megan’s Memory to the Westfield Rescue Squad, 335 Watterson Street, Westfield, NJ 07090 to help continue their work.
