Obituary for Sara A Scuorzo (Diaz)
Sara A. (Diaz) Scuorzo died Tuesday January 29, 2019 in Morristown, NJ. She was 80.
Sara was born in Newark, NJ a daughter to the late Eleanor (Yonadi) and Frances Diaz, living in Colonia and Fanwood before moving to Basking Ridge 32 years ago.
She was a graduate of East Side High School in Newark, NJ and worked as an Office Manager before becoming a Crossing Guard for the Basking Ridge Township Police Department.
Sara loved to compete in Bocci Ball, was an avid football fan cheering for her beloved NY GIANTS, but was completely devoted to her family and friends, most especially her grandchildren.
She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ, and had been a previous parishioner to Blessed Sacrament and St. John Vienna.
She is survived by her 2 sons Anthony and his wife Rose and Frank and his wife Kathy, a daughter Lenore and her husband Louis Arnone, Jr., a brother Vincent Viespoli, 11 grandchildren Anthony, Michael, Vinny, Bobby, Laura, Nick, Andrew, Sal, Vincent, Gina and Nick, and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday February 4, 2019 from 5 - 9 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 5, 2019 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ with Fr. Richard Carton Officiating.
