Obituary for Aldo F Mazzarino
Dr. Aldo F. Mazzarino died Monday, May 20, 2019 at his home in Basking Ridge, NJ with his loving family by his side. He was 85.
Dr. Mazzarino was born in Vizzini, Italy, immigrating to Brooklyn, NY in 1947, then living in Short Hills, NJ before moving to Basking Ridge in 2006.
He was a graduate of Lafayette High School, and St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY, and achieved his MD from the University of Bologna Medical School in Italy.
He worked in practice as a physician and was chief of Urology at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY for over 50 years.
Dr. Mazzarino was devoted to his family, and enjoyed his family, his home and working and caring for his gardens.
He is survived by his beloved wife Marianne (Schimicci) Mazzarino,and two sons, John S. Mazzarino and his wife Shelley, Aldo F. Mazzarino, Jr., and his wife Kimberly and a daughter Carla Mazzarino and her husband Tom Kartelias, and his 5 grandchildren; Michael, Maxwell, Cara, Zachary and Nina. He was pre deceased by his brother Vito Mazzarino, mother Teresa and father Giovanni.
A memorial visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8 pm at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. Cremation is private.
