Leslie Maria Nahm died on Wednesday July 3, 2013 just before noon. She resided at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, NJ. She previously resided in Bedminster, NJ since 2004, but spent most of her adult life in New Rochelle, NY.

Leslie was born in Vienna, Austria to Hermann and Bertha Gottesmann. She attended The Classical Gymnasium of Fashion. which was destroyed by the German occupation forces before she could graduate. She was secreted out of Vienna in 1939 and came to America.

While in New Rochelle, Leslie became active in various garden clubs, becoming president of both the New Rochelle Garden Club and Larchmont Garden Club. Leslie also became active in the New Rochelle Community Renewal and assisted in raising funds for the refurbishment of the Statue of Liberty. After the death of her husband in 1967, she began working in real estate, continuing a very successful career until her move to New Jersey in 2004 to be closer to her son, daughter-in-law and three granddaughters.

Leslie and Eric had two sons, Eric R. born in 1949 and Kent D. born in 1951 who predeceased her in 1973. Leslie became involved with the Boy Scouts as her sons grew and they both reached the rank of Eagle Scout.
