Victor Barbaglia, Jr. died Thursday March 5, 2015 at Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. He was 78.

Victor was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 24, 1936, a son of the late Adelina (Battella) and Victor Barbaglia, Sr. He was raised in Sheeps Head Bay, NY and moved many times including Jersey City, Warren, Plainfield, Bridgewater and Hillborough before moving to Hunterdon 6 years ago.

He worked for the Hillsborough School System in Grounds Maintenance before retiring in 1993. He also worked for Shackamaxon Counrty Club as a greens keeper.

He served in the U.S. Army. During Basic Training, Victor was wounded by a gunshot wound to the neck.
An avid golfer, fisherman and hunter, he was a member of the NRA, and was a taxidermist.

Victor is survived by his daughter, Susan Barbaglia and her husband Anthony Tomaro, a sister Nancy and Vince Pepe, and 2 grandchildren Gianna and Anthony, and many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his sister Gloria Truncarelli

Services will be Monday, March 9, 2015 9:00 AM from the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, Stirling, NJ.
