Katherine A. Brandt died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Hunterdon Medical Center. She was 50.
Kathy was born in Hibbing, MN, on September 28, 1966, a daughter to Gloria (Blight) and David Brandt where she lived moving to Glen Gardner, NJ, Somerset, NJ Montgomery, NJ and Key West Fl. before moving to Flemington.
She was a graduate of Hibbing High School class of 1985 and was a self employed Nannie. She also had a photography business working weddings and other events. She was a member of the Living Waters Lutheran Church in Ringoes, NJ, the Somerville Elks, had an amazing talent for photography, and loved everything about nature, and had a passion for dolphins. Kathy is survived by her loving wife Melissa "Missy" Sugalski, her father David Brandt and his wife Judy, her mother Gloria (nee: Blight) Brandt, a sister Teri Long, a brother DJ Brandt, 4 nieces and nephews Stephen Long, Beth Long, Laura Long, and Christina and her husband Gary Gwash, and their children Kayla, Gabby, Kaci and Cami. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2-4and 7-9 at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Funeral Service will be Wednesday May 31, 2017, 10:30 am at Living Waters Lutheran Church, 11 Old York Rd., Ringoes, NJ. Disposition will be private.
