Margaret A. Rito died Wednesday August 16, 2017 at her home in Stirling, NJ. She was 92.
Margaret was born in Summit, NJ, on January 20, 1925 a daughter to the late Angelina and Antonio Mezzacca, living in New Providence before moving to Stirling in 1956.
She was a graduate of Summit High School, and worked as a medical Secretary at the VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ. She later worked for Sarco Inc. in Stirling as a secretary to the owner for over 20 years before retiring at the age of 80.
Margaret volunteered as a Brownie Troop Leader, was a member of the Long Hill Township Senior Citizens, traveled with her husband's WWII Veterans Reunion Group, seeing all areas of this great nation, and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City.
Margaret was a faithful communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ
She was pre deceased by her husband Vito Rito in 1992, an her 9 siblings.
Margaret was survived by her 2 daughters Linda and her husband Robert Weinstein, and Candice and her husband David Tritle. She had 4 grandchildren Gregory, Laura, Melissa and Jeremy.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2017, 9 - 10:30 AM from the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St., Vincent de Paul RC Church, 250 Bebout Ave. Stirling, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling.
