Obituary for Nelson F Vitorino

Nelson F. Vitorino died Saturday September 30, 2017 at The Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. He was 57. Nelson was born in Portugal, son of Izilda ( Feitera) and Joao Vitorino, and lived in Brazil before immigrating at 9 yrs old to Newark, New Jersey. He then moved to Green Brook, NJ in 1995. He attended East Side High School in Newark, NJ and later received two associates degrees from Raritan Valley Community College and eventually a bachelors degree from the University of Pheonix. He worked as a Senior Litho Engineering Maintenance Supervisor at AZ Electronic Materials USA Corp in Branchburg, NJ for 18 years.
He was a communicant of St. Vincent De Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ. Nelson had a passion for golf and was an avid fan of the New York Rangers and the New York Jets. He loved hockey and played as a goalie for the Hockey North American men's league for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Debra (Campanile) Vitorino, his children, Joseph and his wife Dina, Christopher and his wife Victoria, Jennifer and her fiancé Jesse, and Isabella. He is also survived by his parents, Izilda (Feiteira) and Joao Vitorino; and his sister Rosa Gilio. He had a granddaughter Gia Marie and two more granddaughters on the way.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 4 -8 p.m. at Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd, Gillette, NJ. A
