Obituary for Jennie M DelDuca (Parlapiano)

Jennie M. DelDuca

Jennie M. DelDuca (nee Parlapiano) died peacefully on 12/28/2017. She was the daughter of Sebastiano and Vitangela Parlapiano and the sister of Louis Parlapiano, Dominic Parlapiano, Angelina Dasti and Josephine Cerulli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday January 4th from 4PM to 8PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home located at 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church located at 111South Street in New Providence, NJ on Friday January 5th beginning at 10:00AM followed by a Christian burial at the St. Theresa Cemetery in Summit, NJ.

Born in New Providence, Jennie was a resident for over 87 years. Growing up, she worked in her family’s business raising and selling wholesale flowers. Jennie started her career at the McGregor manufacturing facility in Summit, NJ. While raising her family, she worked for the New Providence Board of Education for over 36 years, retiring in 1993.

She and her husband, Anthony DelDuca of Berkeley Heights who died in 2006, were married for over 59 years. Surviving is her son, Anthony DelDuca Jr. and his wife Patricia of Bay Head, NJ. Jennie also has two Grandchildren, Kristen DelDuca Frank (and her husband David) and Thomas DelDuca (and his wife Lauren) who always enjoyed her amazing cooking. Jennie also has one Great Granddaughter, Brielle Frank. In addition, she has many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews with whom she shared many special times.
