Joan Marie Adriaanse nee: Cook died January 12, 2018 at Morristown Memorial Medical Center in Morristown New Jersey, she was 87.
Joan was born in Irvington, NJ on March 30, 1930 a daughter to the late Marie (Gormley) and Frank Cook. She lived in Newark, moving to Clinton before moving to Basking Ridge 30 years ago.
She worked as a Realtor for Schlott Realtors in Clinton, NJ before retiring. A love for dogs Joan enjoyed breeding and showing her dogs.
She was a member of the original Top Squad, the rescue squad of the former Passaic Township, a member of the Warren Rescue Squad and was a member of the Million Dollar Club for Realtors.
Joan is survived by 3 sons Dirk and his wife Kim, Dan and his wife Chris Falzarano, and Michael Adriaanse. A daughter Barbara Paolo, a brother Donald Cook, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Carolyn Schneider.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Shrine of St. Joseph, 1050 Long Hill Rd., Stirling, NJ. A memorial gathering will follow from 2-4 PM at the Church Community Room.
