Condolence: My heart and my prayers go out to Richie's family. His sister, Alice, and I have known each other since high school, so I've known Richie for many years. We didn't see him often except for holidays or summer get-togethers, but even though months would pass between, I found it so easy to talk to him and catch up. He loved to spend time with his family - I think he especially enjoyed playing with his nieces. Whenever we'd get together with Doug and Alice, Richie would talk with the adults for awhile, but it wasn't long before he was somewhere hanging out with the kids, doing whatever they wanted him to do. He had such a quiet spirit about him. He had one of kindest souls of anyone I've ever known. Be at peace Richie. "The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Condolence: My condolences to the Clemens families. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of dear Richard. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering. I hope that these scriptures will be of some comfort to you . Please visit jw org.
