Roberta Young died Saturday March 24, 2018 in Berkeley Heights, NJ. She was 81
Roberta was born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 3, 1937, a daughter of the late Isabel (Ross) and Robert Phillips. She immigrated to West Orange, NJ living in Millburn and Basking Ridge.
She worked as an Administrator for Bonnie Brae School in Basking Ridge, NJ., for 20 Years before retiring in 2014.
She was a faithful member of the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church in Liberty Corner, NJ where she served as an Elder at her church and was a very active volunteer for many years.
Roberta was a member of the Eastern Star, and enjoyed traveling with her late husband.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert Young in 2004.
Roberta is survived by two sons: Bruce P Young and his partner Valerie, and Scott R Young and his wife Sandra. She had 3 grandchildren Richard, Rachael and Tayler.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28 from 4-7 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Service will be at 6:30 PM. A Service of Entombment will be Thursday, 11:00 AM at Somerset Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum 95 Mount Airy Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ.
