Obituary for Robert B "Bob" Goss

Robert B. Goss died Sunday January 27, 2019 at Morris Hills Center in Morristown, NJ. He was 92.
Bob was born in Princeton, NJ where he lived until moving to Gillette.
He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII enlisting in 1944 at Madison Ave., NY and trained at Sampson, NY. He then became a Radar Operator in Newport, RI, Little Creek, VA, Beavertrail Point, RI and Atlantic City, NJ. He reported aboard the USS Antietam Carrier and served in the Air Arm as a Radar Operator in the Central Information Center. He earned the American Theatre Medal, the Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal. While on his tour of duty he visited Hawaii, Saipan, Guam, Okinawa, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
After his Honorable Discharge he attended the Hun School in Princeton, NJ with other Veterans to get their degree. He was a graduate of the Class of 1948. He had a true love for his school where he remained very active his entire life. He refers to this time as the most enjoyable time of his life and created life long memories and friends.
Bob was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering, and became a self employed Real Estate Agent.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Mary (McHugh) Goss in 1998 and his brother George Goss.
Bob is survived by his nieces and nephews Kathy, Laurie, Tim, Bonnie, George, Mary Ann, Helen, Jane, Ann Marie, Elaine and Doris, and many other great nieces and nephews.
Interment of cremains will be Saturday November 9, 2019 at 1 PM officiated by Rev. Barbara Aspinall at Meyersville Cemetery, Meyersville Rd., Meyersville, NJ.
