I wondered why I did not receive a post from Marlene. So today, I went to her fb page. Sorrow is all that I feel upon learning of her death. Heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends. I have so many good memories of Marlene and all the sensible advice she so graciously gave me. Thank you Marlene. Rest in Peace. I'll celebrate your memory always.

Our deepest sympathy to the Rothbart/Ferruggia family. Marlene was a wonderful person and a very good friend. My father introduced me to the Ferruggia family via Charlie and Marlene when I was 15 years old. That was over fifty years ago and we always considered her an important part of our lives. We will miss her greatly.

In memory of Marlene Rothbart, one of the best cooks I’ve ever known. I’ll never forget those Christmas dinners prepared by Marlene and her mom Virginia, probably the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Your kindness will be missed.
