Douglas was born in Plainfield, NJ, a son to Joan (Bruns) and the late William H. Edwards and was a lifelong resident of Stirling, NJ. He was a graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School class of 1989, where he played on the football team. He was graduate of Kane University and earned a BA. He loved college basketball and cheered for West Virginia. Douglas was an accomplish and publish author of poetry.
He is survived by his mother Joan M. Edwards, his 2 brothers Christopher J. and his wife Sharon, and William F. and his wife Gayle. He was also survived by his 2 nieces Catherine and Victoria.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday April `6, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling at 10:00 AM. Cremation was private.
