Alfredo Oppedisano died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his home in Millington, NJ. He was 82.
He was born in Reggio, Calabria, Italy a son to the late Giuditta (Regitano) and Salvatore Oppedisano. He immigrated in 1962 to America living in North Plainfield, Middlesex and Bound Brook before moving to Millington 34 years ago.
Alfredo worked as a self employed carpenter and had a passion for making custom furniture and practicing his skilled carpentry. He loved his garden, and enjoyed cooking for his family. He was a member of the Italian American Club in North Plainfield.
He was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling.
Alfredo was pe-deceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his wife Adele (Mellusi) Oppedisano, 2 sons David Oppedisano, and Edward and his wife Dareuscha A.M. Oppedisano, a daughter Joyce M. and her husband Kenneth S. Caruso, a sister Giuseppina Oppedisano, and 8 grandchildren Lukyan, Mischa, Isabella, Diego, William, Julia, Nicole, and David.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 29, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church 250 Bebout Ave., Stirling. Interment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Chestnut St., Stirling. Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ.
