Obituary for Aileen H DeFaria (Goldblatt)
Aileen "Cookie" DeFaria (Goldblatt) passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019. She was 87.
Cookie was born in Irvington, NJ on January 22, 1932, a daughter to the late Bob and Helen Goldblatt of Hillside, NJ. She was the last surviving of their five children. Cookie raised her 3 children in Livingston, NJ before retiring to Deerfield Beach, FL. Later in life she moved back to New Jersey to be closer to her family.
She was an avid reader and had a love for poetry enjoying her days reading on Deerfield Beach under her favorite pier.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Jack A. DeFaria in 2009.
Cookie is survived by her two sons Jack DeFaria III and Richard DeFaria of New Jersey and her daughter Donna Oliver of Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren Carly, Jeff and Ricky, four great-grandchildren and many other family and friends from New Jersey and Florida.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. Cremation was private as Cookie requested.
