Obituary for Tymko Kitt

Tymko Kitt passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his home in Bedminster, NJ. He was 90.
Tymko, who was also known as Tom, was born in Scotch Plains, NJ to the late Eva (Bello) and Peter Kitt. He moved to Bedminster in 1972.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving in two separate enlistments. He achieved the status of expert rifleman.
After his Honorable Discharge, Tymko worked as a Quality Control Inspector for the U.S. Government for 35 years, retiring in 1985.
Tymko loved the great outdoors and enjoyed camping with his family, as well as hunting and fishing. He spent as much time as he could working in his gardens to create beautiful landscapes, often with an oriental flair. Playing the guitar was another enjoyment. He was a member of the China Marines and a Life Member of the VFW.
Tymko was pre-deceased by his wife Anna Virginia Kitt in 1996 and his daughter Karen Kitt in 1993; his 4 brothers, John, George, Mike and Alexander Kitt; and 2 sisters, Julie Richter and Mary Prejean.
Tymko is survived by his daughter Suzann Kitt Burke and her husband Patrick, Jamie Kitt, and Kimmie Kitt Tecca and her husband Chris; his fiancé Margaret Helriegel; and 3 sisters: Helen Adams, Anna Schreiber and Sophie Chauvin. He had 5 grandchildren, Daniel Tymko Burke, Tymko Tecca, Victoria Tecca, Matthew Tecca and Natalia Tecca.
Visitation will be Monday, July 15, 2019 from 5 - 9 PM at Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ and Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Bernards Cemetery in Bernardsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW or to Pluckemin Presbyterian Church Medical Equipment Ministry, P.O. Box 402, Pluckemin, NJ 07978.
