Obituary for Margaret A "Margie" Mac Manus (Le Page)

August 4, 1946--August 25, 2019

Margaret "Margie" Mac Manus (Le Page) passed away peacefully late Sunday night at home in Warren with her loving family by her side. She was 73. Margie was born in Newark and raised in Union and was a graduate from Union High School class of 1964. She was married in 1966 to her husband John, and moved to Edison where they raised their 3 children. She was a homemaker for many years, before working as a receptionist for Middlesex medical Group in Edison, NJ for over 10 years before retiring. She coached softball for over 20 years for the Iselin Athletic Association,and was a fabulous cook and baker, and loved the Yankees. Margie loved the beach and would go to the shore whenever she found the time.
Margie is pre-deceased by her parents Alfred and Jennie Le Page and her two brothers Happy and Tony who both passed away in 2002, and her mother-in-law Barbara Warrender.. Margie leaves behind her husband John, daughter Karen, son Colin and his wife Lori, son David and his wife Kahlia and 5 grandchildren who she adored, Hunter, Carly, Ashley, Mackenzie and Skylar. She also leaves behind her two loving sisters, Blanche and Denise and brother-in-law Bob, and her devoted sister-in-law Vicki. In addition, she leaves behind her best friends Grace Creighton and Diane Galanti and many nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Margie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on holidays, and the traditional Christmas Eve Italian dinners every year. As mentioned, she was the best cook and baker, always making sure there were a ton of desserts. She will be missed deeply, as she was the center of the family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4-8 pm at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Funeral Home.
