Hilda B. Mullican (Broussard) died Monday, September 9, 2019, in Wilmington, North Carolina, 9 days before her 100th Birthday.
Hilda was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on September 18, 1919, a daughter of the late Ozite (Vincent) and Minos Paul Broussard. She lived in Gillette, NJ from 1954 - 2016 before moving to North Carolina.
Hilda graduated as an RN from Shreveport Charity Hospital in 1943 before working at Newark Beth Israel Hospital and Muhlenburg Hospital in Plainfield, NJ. She was a nurse for 45 years.
Hilda was a communicant of The Shrine of St. Joseph and St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ.
She was predeceased by her husband Roscoe I Mullican, Jr. in 2006.
Hilda is survived by her son Roscoe I. Mullican III, and a daughter, Roxanne I Sagala, a sister, Dot Duhon and two brothers, Doyce Broussard and Paul Broussard. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A religious service will be celebrated at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ, at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 23rd, 2019.
