Hi, it's Steven (eldest son),

I think one of my biggest memories of Dad will be that he enjoyed socializing.

Growing up, I remember him doing the Polka with my Mom. Times I saw him singing and listening to country music.

We parked at the top of Loriann Road near his undeveloped land on nights to enjoy the peacefulness since we still lived in Hillside.

We had multiple trips to Florida in the station wagon. On one, he explained, "That land out there with the bull dozers? That's going to be Disney World." Fast walks on the boardwalk down the shore, from end to end, non-stop. Car rides to real estate locations for a possible move.

Talk radio in the kitchen on weekends. He gave us hot dogs and beans when Mom worked. He dabbled in gardening, got me interested in bird watching and supported us in Scouting.

I appreciate everything my Dad has done for me. I thank the Lord that my Dad was ALWAYS there. He may have not been always available, but present. He had good Christian morals. I thank you Dad for giving me MY life and making good choices along the way.

I thank all who have attended and/or have given notice to this web page. Please feel free to share any memories you may have had with Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Mel, Mel, Milan or Mr. Sivak.
