Jerry A. Coughlin passed away peacefully on 11/15/2019 after a brief illness in Scotch Plains, NJ. Born in East Orange, NJ to Jerry Coughlin and the late Eleanor Coughlin. Jerry graduated from St.Joseph’s High School, St. Peter’s College, Chubb Institute, and Iona College (MBA).

Along with his full time career, Jerry was interested in real estate. He traveled extensively with his wife Linda Rae, was a great reader of English Renaissance Literature, enjoyed spending time playing and listening to music, along with relaxing in nature. Over the years, Jerry has volunteered for many organizations including; Literacy Volunteers, Somerset County Office of the Aging, Habitat for Humanity, Saint John’s Soup Kitchen, and The Shrine of Saint Joseph. In April 2019 Jerry was awarded the Employee of the Month by his employer. He was also a past president and board member for the NJ Chapter of ISACA.
Jerry will be missed immensely by his beloved wife Linda Rae. He will also be dearly missed by his extended family, his dear friends from his “ St. Joe’s Reunion Crew” and his “Breakfast Club”, and all the people he touched over his lifetime, with his gentle and kind spirit.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 3 - 8 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. Funeral services are private.
