Obituary for Bettina Parolari (Rodel)

Bettina Parolari nee: Rodel died peacefully at home on Friday, February 14, 2020 with her loving husband and three sons by her side. She was born in Niederlenz, Switzerland on May 3, 1930, the daughter of parents Hedwig and Max Rodel. Bettina immigrated to America with her husband and first child in 1956 to start a new life. She lived in a number of different states before settling down in Millington, NJ in 1960.
Bettina worked as a bank teller at PNC Bank in Bernardsville for 20 years and was awarded bank teller of the year multiple times during her tenure. She was an active communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ and was elected as the first woman to the Parish Council. She volunteered for the Visiting Nursing Association for over 22 years.
Bettina is survived by her husband Willy Parolari, and her three sons Ewald M. Parolari and his wife Donna, Raymond M. Parolari and his wife Janet, and Sylvio M. Parolari and his wife Donna, a brother, Max Rodel, seven grandchildren: Tanya, Dana, Nicholas, Angelo, Michael, Amy and Casandra, and five great grandchildren: Kayla, Ava, Savannah, Jonathan and Lia.
Visitation will be Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, February, 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Interment of cremains will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Somerset, 200 Mt Airy Road, Basking Ridge 07920.
