Obituary for Frank Schvamberg

Frank G. Schvamberg died peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. He was 82.

Frank was born in Miskolc, Hungary on March 27, 1937, a son of the late Irma (Toth) and Viktor Schvamberg, immigrating to East Orange, NJ moving to Irvington before residing in New Providence for the last 43 years.

He graduated Trade School and worked as a Tool and Die Maker for Rummel Industries for over 50 years before retiring.

Frank loved Soccer, playing for Farchers Grove in Union, NJ and watching his favorite soccer team on tv, Real Madrid. He was an avid bowler and part of the Seniors Bowling League of East Hanover, NJ. He was also a fisherman and loved his time spent on the Delaware River and Lake Champlain in Canada. He was a man who could fix just about anything and enjoyed spending his time gardening. He was a member of the North Plainfield German Club.

Frank is survived by his wife Lydia (Lipka) Schvamberg of 55 years, his son Frank R. and his wife Adriana, his daughter Monica and her husband Peter Bonilla, and his grandson Brody. He is also survived by his sister Ibolya Kolacsek (Ibi).

He is also predeceased by his sisters, Sarolta Kraitz (Saci), Andrasne Soltez (Nelli) and Irma Gyore (Muci), and his brother Joseph Schvamberg.

Services were private and under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ.
