Edward Guy LaFontaine, Jr. died Friday, July 10, 2020 at New Jersey Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater, NJ. He was 70.
Ed was born in New Brunswick, NJ on July 27, 1949 a son to the late Eleanore (Buchok) and Edward Guy LaFontaine, Sr., living in Edison and Stirling before moving to Warren 1 year ago.
He was a graduate of Edison High School, and received his Associates degree from Rutgers University.
Ed worked as the Grocery Manager at Stop and Shop for over 40 years before retiring in 2014.
He was an avid fisherman of all kinds, saltwater, freshwater both fly fishing or with a spinning rod, and was awarded with the God Lake Trophy Fish Award. As an athlete he played golf, and was a star in Little League and Pop Warner Football.
Ed was pre deceased by his wife, and love of his life, Wendy (Hall) LaFontaine in 2013.
He is survived by his 3 nephews, Gary, Jason and Eric LaFontaine.
