Please accept my sincere condolences. I was very fond of Don and enjoyed working with him. He was such a treasure and had such a positive impact on the Columbia Middle School students. I will never forget his tribute to me when I left the District. It was so funny and enjoyable. I also still have several of the sketches that he gifted to me framed and displayed in our home. May he Rest In Peace and know that he shared his musical talents with the students in an exceptional manner.

Uncle Don will be deeply missed. His laughter, music, art and lovely insights on life will always be remembered.

During my time teaching (Art) in Berkeley Heights, Don modestly mentioned that the had been 'fooling around with watercolors' and offered to share them with the students. 'Messing around' was hardly the correct phrase! What a talent. Thank you, Don, for sharing so much of your talents with us.

There are so many ways to remember Don. He was so kind and such a fine gentleman. We visited Don and Glenda a few years ago and we were blown away listening to his music, looking at his paintings and just in awe of his many talents. He so loved my cousin, Glenda, and she was so devoted to him right back. Our prayers and our love are with you.

My first memories of Don are from not long after myself and my family moved to Berkeley Heights from the United Kingdom.
I realized that the neighbor across the street from us was music teacher to my children. It was actually my Mother-in-Law that introduced Don and Glenda to me. I happened to mention to my Mom-in-Law that the gentleman in the Stetson just about to enter his home was our music teacher. Gilda (Mom-in-Law) promptly announced that she was going to introduce herself and before I could blink, she left and did just that!. Two hours later, Gilda returned home to fetch her violin (I forgot to mention the she played violin in her local orchestra in the UK) and said she had been invited to dinner and was going to accompany Don on his piano. That was over 15 years ago and Don and Glenda have been dear friends of our family ever since, in fact, I would say they are more family than friends. We’ve spent many Thanksgivings together, with Don regaling us with his stories and demonstrating his unusual talent of being able to hum and whistle different tunes at the same time! Don was such a talented man both with his music and painting. My parents have one of his paintings on their study wall in England.
He was a true Gentleman with not a mean bone in his body. He always had a ready smile and will is missed terribly. Our family gatherings won’t be the same without him.
