Obituary for Michael Palschakov
Michael Palschakov died Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in NJ. He was 78.
Michael was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia on November 17, 1941, a son to the late Ljubica Viole Palschakov
and Petar Palschakov, immigrating to Spotswood, NJ in 1955, living in New Providence, NJ before moving to Denville 30 years ago.
He was a graduate of South River High School High and received his Associates Degree from Union County College, and continued in night school for his degree in teaching.
He was a proud Marine for the USMC serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis where he was Honorably Discharged.
Michael worked as a teacher of masonry and math for the Morris County Vocational School in Denville, NJ for over 25 years before retiring 25 years ago. He was a long member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Local #4.
Michael was a very talented artist which showed in his skill of masonry which he taught to his son Paul and to his students who formed successful masonry businesses and loved him like a father.
Enjoying time relaxing at his home in Rainbow Lakes, Michael also loved spending time at the Denville Diner where he had many friends and loved talking about his children and grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his former wife Madeline (Pedicini) Palschakov and his son Michael Palschakov on September 22, 2020.
Michael is survived by his son Paul and his wife Cara, his 2 daughters, Janine Sievert and her partner Mitch Goodstein, Lenora Polomski and her husband Michael and his grandchildren Ava, Luke, Jordan, Leah and Daniel.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. Cremation is Private.
