Obituary for Irene Dellosso (Termini)

Irene Dellosso, 86, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021 with her family by her side in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. She was born on June 2, 1934 to the late Lucille and Edward Termini in Brooklyn, New York. Irene lived most of her life in Brooklyn, but later moved in 2018 to Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
She married the late Emilio Dell’Osso in 1956 and had three beautiful daughters with whom she created the most memorable memories with her family and friends in Brooklyn. Irene welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and became the neighborhood “mom” to so many people. She loved to cook and always had a table full of food just in case someone might stop by. Irene never went a day without singing and dancing all around her house. She was not only a loving wife and mother, but also a loving sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the type of woman who always put her family before everything. Irene’s sense of humor and larger than life personality will never be forgotten and her memories will be carried on by those she loved and whom loved her in return unconditionally.
Irene was predeceased by her mother Lucille, father Edward, step-father Albert, her sister Joan, and her brother Edward. Irene is survived by her two sisters, Marie and Christine, her daughters Graceann and husband John, Irene and husband John, and Mia and husband Anthony. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John, Ashley, Kristen, Alexandra, Matthew, Luca, Mica and Mia and two great grandchildren, Ruby and Goldie.
Visitation for Irene will be Friday, February 19, 2021 from 5-8 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM from St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, Bebout Ave, Stirling. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
