Obituary for Rose Dagostino (Maffucci)

Rose (Maffucci) Dagostino passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home in Stirling, NJ. She was 83.
Rose was born on February 27, 1937 in Morristown, NJ a daughter to the late Maria Theresa (SanGiovanni) and Vincent Maffucci. She lived in Stirling until 1967, moved to Berkeley Heights & raised her family until 2016 when she then returned to Stirling.
She graduated from Morristown High School.
Rose was a true homemaker, loving mother and grandmother - always caring for her family and friends.
While in Berkeley Heights, she was a Parishioner of Our Lady of Peace in New Providence, and most recently a daily communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ. She served on the Altar Rosary Guild, was an active member of the Long Hill Township Senior Citizens, and was also a member of the PTO and served as a classroom mom for her children.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Nunzio J. Dagostino in 2014, her son Gerald in 1968, and 4 brothers Joseph, Ralph, David and Emil Maffucci.
She is survived by her 3 daughters Denise (Dee) Dagostino, Danielle and her husband Quinn Grieco and Nancy and her husband John Dasti, a brother Vincent Maffucci, and 12 grandchildren Julia, Quinn, Nicholas, Jake, Lauren, Joseph, Michael, Caroline, Jaedyn, Leah, Elizabeth, and Benjamin.
Visitation will be Thursday February 25, 2021 from 3 - 6 PM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church Bebout Ave, Stirling, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Church with Fr. Richard Carton Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling, NJ. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Berkeley Heights Rescue Squad, 278 Snyder Ave., Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922. Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. Visitation and Funeral Mass can be witnessed on St. Vincent website at stvincentschurch.org.
