Obituary for Thomas Carl DiDia

Thomas Carl DiDia, died on Good Friday, April 2, 2021 at his home in Millington, N.J. surrounded by his loving family. He was in his 70th year.
Tom was born in Elizabeth, N.J. on July 30, 1951, a son to the late Mary Agnella (McAndrew) and Carl DiDia. He grew up in Edison, N.J. and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Metuchen, N.J., Class of 1969. He earned a B.S. degree in Marketing from St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, N.J., Class of 1973, and a M.B.A. in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, N.J., Class of 1983.
He most recently worked in Finance for IQVIA where he was highly respected for his professionalism and dedication to his work. He treasured the many relationships with his colleagues and business associates. Prior to his employment at IQVIA, Tom worked in Finance in the Pharmaceutical and Environmental Industries.
Tom was a devout Catholic and parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, N.J. He was a past communicant at St. Joseph RC Church in North Plainfield, N.J. for many years.
Tom is remembered for his love, kindness and commitment to others. He volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader, youth coach of numerous sports, at area soup kitchens and homeless shelters.
His life was focused on his Faith and his beloved family. As devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Tom always led by example modeling a love for God and others. Tom’s life and values will continue on in those he loved.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nora E. (Thievon) DiDia, a son Thomas D. DiDia and his wife Kellie, daughters Erin M. Visalli and her husband Pete, Kathryn N. Larew and her husband Ryan and Mary A. DiDia. He was the loving grandfather to his cherished grandchildren, Christian and Francesca Visalli, Sebastian, Capri, and Luca DiDia and Dylan Larew. Surviving are his two sisters Patricia DiDia and Maryanne Rack and her husband Thomas, as well as brother-in-law Tom Thievon and sister-in-law Sue, nieces, nephew and many loving friends.
Tom was predeceased by his brother Carl DiDia in 1968 and infant daughter Elizabeth.
Visitation for Tom will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, 250 Bebout Avenue, Stirling, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021, 10 AM at the Church. Burial will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling, N.J. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul RC Church or the Food Pantry at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, N.J.
