Obituary for Ludmila Vardanian (Rastevich)

Ludmila (Ratsevich) Vardanian died Friday, April 23, 2021 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ. She was 89.

Ludmila was born on April 26, 1932 in Kharkiv, Ukraine a daughter to the late Elizabeth (Stetsenko) and Edward Ratsevich, immigrating to Queens, NY in 1975 moving to Franklin Park, NJ before moving to Millington in 2014.

She earned her Bachelors degree and was a Teacher of Russian Literature, but was later self employed for over 15 years before retiring in 1999.

Ludmila was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville, NJ. She loved to read, sew and was an excellent cook. She loved spending free time at the Long Hill Township Senior Citizens, but most important was caring for her family as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family to her was everything.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Agop Vardanian in 1999.

Ludmila is survived by her 3 daughters Alma Aguayo, Suzanne and her husband Benjamin Balian, and Sylvie and Philip, 6 grandchildren Alex and his wife Allison, Sam, Maria and Tre'Mel, Stephanie and Francisco, Phil and Christopher, and 6 great grandchildren Benjamin, Chase, Francisco, Aliyana, Anthony and Noel.
