Obituary for Caroline MaSaitis (Calantoni)
Caroline MaSaitis died Monday May 17, 2021 at her home in Stirling, NJ. She was 84.
Caroline was born in Raritan Township on March 18, 1937 a daughter to the late Emily (Camberlingo) and Lou Calantoni, living in Madison and Summit, NJ before moving to Stirling in 1961.
She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling and a former member of St. Teresa's RC Church in Summit. She always cared for handicap children as a bus driver for the Basking Ridge Board of Education for 25 years, and served as a Crossing Guard for 28 years for Basking Ridge, was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and was a huge collector of Ceramic Cups and Lenox Birds.
She is survived by her husband George R. MaSaitis Sr., her son George R. Jr., a daughter Carol Ann and her husband Stephen Young, a son Stephen M. and his fiance Darlene, and a daughter Diane and her husband Angel Melendez, 3 grandchildren Nicholas and his wife Elizabeth, Stephen and his fiance Kimberly and Albert and his wife Lizbeth, and 5 great grandchildren Mellannie, Abigal, Maverick, Mapel Ann and Ashton, and her grand dog Precious.
Visitation will be Friday May 28, 2021 from 3 - 6 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday May 29, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling at 10:00 AM. Cremation will be Private.
