Obituary for Minerva Peralta
Minerva A. Peralta died Tuesday June 15, 2021 at her home in Gillette, NJ. She was 75.
Minerva was born in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic on October 20, 1945 a daughter to the late Luz Miguel de Peralta and Felix Peralta immigrating to Manhattan, NY in 1969. She lived in Pearl River, NY and Metuchen, NJ before moving to Gillette in 2007. After she retired she lived a majority of her time in the Dominican Republic while spending time in Gillette.
She worked for the NHS (National Housing Services) in the Bronx, NY for over 15 years before retiring in 2008.
Minerva loved to travel with her family visiting India, Egypt, Spain, Portugal, China and many other countries. She loved to cook and enjoyed caring for her flowers.
She was pre-deceased by her son Alberto de LaRosa, and her brother Jafet Peralta.
Minerv is survived by her son Frank Peralta and his wife Nancy, her brothers Gamalier and Richard Peralta, her sisters Argentina Carlson, Marianela Gilpin, Elena Peralta, Teresa Peralta, Sonnia Carbone and Fanny Peralta, and 3 grandchildren Giannna, Daniela and Christian Peralta.
Visitation will be Thursday June 17, 2021 from 6 - 9 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday June 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, Bebout Ave., Stirling, NJ. Live Steam available at stvincentschurch.org.
