Obituary for Josephine F. Gordon (Falzone)
Josephine Gordon, age 90, passed away on January 10, 2022 at Lantern Hill Continuing Care Facility in New Providence NJ. She was currently in the Assisted Living area under Hospice care.
Anyone who knew Josephine, knew she was a ‘salt of the earth’ woman who centered her life in only peace and love. Never a bad word to say of anyone and was genuinely a caring person to all.
Josephine was born on November 2, 1931, a daughter to the late Mary (Consuman) and Michael Falzone. Josephine was raised in Somerville NJ, moving to Clark NJ in 1963, Gillette NJ in 1981 and has lived in New Providence NJ since 2016.
Josephine is survived by her two loving children, Thomas Gordon and Linda Blaber, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Scott, Darren, Garrett and Colin. She is also survived by her 3 siblings, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Josephine is Roman Catholic and a parishioner at Our Lady Of Peace in New Providence NJ.
Josephine married her one true love, Irv Gordon on June 14, 1958. Irv predeceased Josephine and passed away on April 13, 2021. Caskets will be placed next to each other in a companion mausoleum crypt at Somerset Hill Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ and after 62 years of marriage, they will once again be joined together in the presence of the Lord above.
