Obituary for Dearh M Goller (Earnhardt)

Dearh M. Goller died after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia at Sunrise Assisted Living in Basking Ridge, NJ. She was 99.

Dearh was born in Hamlet, NC on November 12, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Emma (Dry) and John Crawford Earnhardt. She lived in North Carolina as a child with her six other siblings, but moved to Jersey City when she married Ernest Goller. Shortly after becoming parents, they moved to Fair Lawn, N.J. which was her home for over 60 years before moving to Basking Ridge two years ago.

Dearh graduated from Winecoff High School located in Concord, North Carolina.

She was a member of Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, NJ for many years and an active participant in a group there known as “The Sowers.” This group of widows traveled together, did projects for the church and supported each other through prayer and Bible Study. She also worked as a volunteer at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ for several years.

Dearh was pre-deceased by her husband, Ernest Henry Goller who died in 1992.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Goller.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, N.J. follow by a 11:00 AM Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Anne Havrilla from Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church in Liberty Corner. A Graveside Service will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Samaritan’s Purse.
