Obituary for Willy Parolari

Willy Parolari died Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at his home in Millington, NJ. He was 92.

Willy was born in Brugg, Switzerland a son to the late Elizabeth (Brunetti) and Rio Parolari. He immigrated to the United States living in Memphis, Tennessee, then Jackson, Tennessee before residing in Millington since 1960.

Willy worked as an Electrical Engineer for Brown Boveri ABB in North Brunswick for 47 years before retiring in 1993.

Willy was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ where he was an Eucharistic Minister and was the Chairman of the first St. Vincent de Paul Fair in 1968. He was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 59 in Stirling, NJ , and the District Vice President of the Watchung Council. Willy was an avid traveler and adventurer, and a member of the Soaring Club as a Glider Plane Pilot at Somerset Airport. Professionally, he was a member of APICS, American Productive and Inventory Control Society, serving as Past President and Regional Representative. He loved to play the trumpet, and volunteered for the Visiting Nurses Association for over 20 years.

Willy was pre deceased by his wife Bettina (Rodel) Parolari in 2020.

Willy is survived by his 3 sons Ewald M. and his wife Donna, Raymond M. and his wife Janet, and Sylvio M. and his wife Donna, 7 grandchildren, Tanya, Dana, Nicholas, Angelo, Michael, Amy and Casandra, and 7 great grandchildren Kayla, Ava, Kiera, Savannah, Jonathan, Lia and Emily.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4-8 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday May 20, 2022 at 9:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ with Fr. Richard Carton officiating. Cremation is private.
