Peter John Gerry died Friday, June 3, 2022 in his home in Melfa, VA. He was 68.
Peter was born on January 17, 1954 a son to the late Bess (Lakos) and John Ernest Gerry in Orange, NJ living in New Providence before moving to Hillsborough. He lived in Virginia since 2020.
He was a graduate of New Providence High School and achieved an associates degree from Chubb Institute.
Peter owned a warehouse logistics company for many years before joining Home Depot and worked as a software engineer in Cherry Hill. NJ for many years before retiring.
Peter loved Space, and was an avid collector of "Space Junk" loved exploration and had a vast collection of US Space items.
Peter is survived by his wife of 34 years, Victoria (Ochoa) Gerry, two sons, Evan and Christian Gerry, a daughter Dr. Brielle Ochoa MD, a brother James Gerry and his wife Lynda, and 2 sisters Barbara Gerry and her husband Patrick McPhee, and Gloria O'Connor
Visitation for peter will be Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 9 - 10 AM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM at St, Vincent de Paul RC Church. Interment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling.
