Obituary for Edmond Bernard Carlock

Warren, NJ

Edmond Bernard Carlock died unexpectedly Friday July 15, 2022 at his home in Warren, NJ. He was 71.

Edmond was born in Manhattan, NY on July 4, 1951, a son of the late Catherine McQuillan Carlock and Bernard Carlock, moving to Staten Island in 1954.

He was a graduate of Monsignor Farrell High School (S.I.) Class of 1969, attended Capuchin Seminary in Garrison, NY from 1969 - 1971, and SUNY Oneonta from 1971-1974.

He worked for Haille Motors and Sovereign Motors in Brooklyn, NY, was the service manager and salesperson for Markham Motors (Mercedes Benz), and most recently was a salesperson for Lexus of Bridgewater.

Edmond was a member of the Warren Rotary Club, the Policemen’s Benevolent Association, and served on the Warren Township Planning Board. He loved to play Santa Claus at children's holiday benefits.

Edmond was pre-deceased by his 2 brothers, Neal Carlock, a Navy Blue Angel, and Owen Carlock, a NYFD 9/11 first responder.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Rapp Carlock, his daughter Amanda and her husband Rich Burns, a son Brett Edmond Carlock and his wife Mayra, 2 brothers, Brendan Carlock, and Gil Carlock and his wife Kim, a sister Moira and her husband Vincent Rivas and his grandchildren Aurora Grace, Ophelia Joy, and Elias Raziel.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10:30 AM at the Shine of St. Joseph, 1050 Long Hill Rd., Stirling, NJ. A Mass will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren PBA, the Plainfield Animal Shelter at Rock Avenue, or any charity of your choice.
