Obituary for Robert T England

Robert T. England died Friday, August 12, 2022 at his home in Spring Hill, Fl. He enjoyed 90 wonderful years with his family and friends.
Robert was born in East Orange, NJ on October 10, 1931, the third son of the late Mary (Lenihan) and William H. England living in Newark, NJ.
He served in the U.S. Navy as an Electrician’s Mate on the LSMR409 during the Korean War, from 1952-1956.
Bob moved to Stirling in 1966, where he became an active member of St. Vincent de Paul parish, volunteering as a basketball coach, and chairing social events and fundraisers for the parish. He was a member of the American Legion Post 484 and the Passaic Township (Long Hill Township) Democratic Committee and ran for Township Committee.
He was a member of Steamfitters/Pipefitters Local #475 and spent more than 30 years working at Anheuser-Busch in Newark, NJ before retiring in 1990.
After the death of his wife of 38 years, Barbara (Murray) England in 1996, Bob moved to Florida where he enjoyed the challenges of golf, crossword puzzles, and computer solitaire. He was an avid reader of mystery and suspense novels
In 2019 Bob married his longtime companion Pamela (Pearce) England. They spent many of their years together traveling as a couple and with friends and family.
He leaves behind his wife Pamela, his daughter Nora and her husband Nick Basilion, grandchildren Luke and Sarah Basilion, step-daughter Sara Lowenthal and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers William and James England.
Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ 07933. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Internment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling, NJ.
