Obituary for Ronald Carl "Ron" Albrecht

Ronald Carl Albrecht passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at his home in Stirling, NJ. He was 86.

Ron was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 21, 1937. He was the son of the late Mabel and Carl Albrecht.

He was a graduate and Salutatorian of Milwaukee North High School. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied mechanical engineering.

He was employed as a mechanical engineer for Meta-Mold Co. in Cedarburg, WI and Aluminum Co. Engineering (ACE Co.) in Milwaukee, WI before moving to Stirling, NJ in 1973. He was an design engineer for MoldCast Products, Inc. in Newark and Unimatic Manufacturing Corp. in Fairfield, NJ. He incorporated his own business, The Albrecht Corporation in Stirling, NJ until he retired.

Ron was a communicant and active member of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling, NJ where he was a member of the Adult Choir, prayer group, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was instrumental in starting a preschool for children at St. Vincents. He served on the St. Vincent's School Board for many years and was past president and vice president of the Home & School Association. He was a President of the Parish Council and served as liaison to the Diocesan Lay Council. He co-chaired the Parish Advisory Board and was a member of the Building Committee and past member of the RCIA team. He and Jan co-chaired the Parish's 100th Anniversary and church dedication dinner dance in September in 1986. He was also a president and member member of the North Jersey Orchid Society, loved to garden and tending to his ponds in the yard. He also enjoyed solving Sudoku puzzles.

He was pre-deceased by his sister Lynn.

Ron is survived by his wife Janice (Rosewitz) Albrecht, four daughters, Tamara Albrecht, Angela and her husband Phillip Shymanski, Victoria and her husband Brian Carduner, Rebecca and her husband Michael Polunas, and a son Ronald Brian Albrecht.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Ashley, Michael, Joseph, Courtney, Paige, Kristin, Alexandria and great granddaughter Lyra.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Saturday, April 15th at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church 250 Bebout Ave. in Stirling, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Father Richard Carton officiating.
