Obituary for Ronald S Ferruggia (Ronnie)

Ronald S. Ferruggia died Friday, April 21, 2023 in Warren, NJ. He was 58.

Ronnie was born in Newark, NJ on April 13, 1965, a son to Kathleen (Collins) and Charles Ferruggia. He was raised in Kenilworth before moving to Watchung at the age of 9. After he married, he lived in Millington, Annandale, and Bridgewater, NJ, later moving to Palm Beach Gardens, FL, before returning to Warren 16 years ago.

He was a student and graduate of Rutgers Prep and Watchung Hills Regional High School, and attended Farleigh Dickinson University.

Ronnie was a smart, talented and successful builder/developer, following in his fathers footsteps. He built beautiful homes in Hunterdon and Somerset County.

He enjoyed spending time at his lake house at Culver Lake in Branchville, NJ where he loved cruising on the pontoon boat, or waterskiing and tubing on the speed boat. He had a passion for motorsports, jet skiing at the Jersey Shore, riding quads in Pennsylvania, cruising on his Harley and scooters, enjoying his Porsche and taking trips with his snowmobiles to Old Forge and Canada. He also had a passion for music, specifically classic rock. The Who was his favorite band, he loved going to their concerts with his daughters whenever they were in town for reunion tours. He was a movie buff with a love for Si-Fi, Star Trek, Star Wars, and all the classics, always citing lines and phrases. Ronnie was a talented artist accomplished in drawing, painting and sculpting. He was known for his generous and loving personality and certainly his wit and humor, always quick with a joke while smoking his cigar!

He is survived by his parents Kathleen (Collins) and Charles Ferruggia, his three daughters, Kaitlyn, 825 2852 4649

Kelsey, and Kendall Ferruggia, his former spouse Kimberly Ferruggia, his brother Charles "Rick” Ferruggia and his wife Kim Ferruggia, his sister Kristine and her husband Daniel Trimble, his nieces and nephews : Chas, Ander, and Gavin Ferruggia, Karly and Ryan Trimble, many uncles, aunts and cousins and friends, as well as his grand-kittens, Cleo and Culver.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 3-6 PM with prayer and words of remembrance at 5:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ.
