Obituary for Vincent Joseph "Vinny" Sheehan Jr.
The family of Vincent Joseph Sheehan, Jr., “Vinny”, 47, of Millington, NJ is sad to announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Born and raised in Shirley, NY, Vinny was the son of Vincent and Linda (Novembre) Sheehan. He lived most of his life on Long Island before moving to Millington, NJ, along with love of his life, Leigh Ann LaFlesh, where they have raised their two boys, Lucas and Cooper.
Vinny was a graduate of Bryant College in Smithfield, RI and has worked as a claims adjuster for Crawford & Co., NY, NY for many years. Once a competitor bowler, his passion turned to loving and supporting Lucas and Cooper. He was most happy being on the field watching them play baseball.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Leigh Ann; cherished sons, Lucas and Cooper; loving parents, Vincent and Linda; the LaFlesh family, the Galvin Family, relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ 07933 on Friday, May 5th from 4-8 pm. Everyone will meet at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 250 Bebout Ave., Stirling, NJ 07980 on Saturday, May 6th at 10:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. The interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sheehan Children’s College Fund, payable to The Vanguard 529 College Savings Plan, Mail c/o Bill LaFlesh, P.O. Box 147, Montville NJ 07045 would be greatly appreciated.
