Josephine Paternostro died Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Sunrise of Basking Ridge in Basking Ridge, NJ. She was 89.
Josephine was born on March 31, 1934 in Brooklyn, NJ, a daughter to the late Elvira (Carosella) and Carmine Paternostro living in Valley Stream Long Island and East Brunswick, NJ.
She was a High School Graduate from Brooklyn, NY and worked as a Supervisor at Metropolitan Life in Manhattan, NY for many years before retiring. Josephine love to go to the Casino, playing the slots, and enjoyed her scratch off tickets.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Paternostro and many nieces, nephews great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Josephine will be Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10 - 11:00 AM with prayer and words of remembrance at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery 80 Metropolitan Ave., Queens, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of northern New Jersey, 175 South Street, Morristown NJ. 07960.
