Obituary for Joseph Galasso
Joseph Galasso died Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Summit, NJ. He was 65.
Joseph was born on February 26, 1958 in Paterson, NJ a son to the late Mary (Meglino) and Charles Galasso, where he lived until moving to Stirling, NJ 20 years ago.
He worked as a community worker for Community Options, Daily Plan-It in Morristown, NJ.
Joseph had a love for music from Doo Wop, Frank Sinatra, and Classic Rock to modern day music. He was always interested in Sensory Arts. Joseph loved to cut paper or cardboard and sort it, he would also enjoy raking the leaves, and sort the leaves into separate piles according to the leaf. He enjoyed the nuances of using different mind processes. He also had a sweet tooth loving his cookies and milk.
He was pre deceased by his parents, and his only older brother Vincent Galasso who died in 2018.
Joseph is survived by his sister-in-law and caretaker Jaqualine Galasso, and her daughter Catherine Galasso. He is also survived by his cousins Maryanne Stocki, and John Meglino and his wife Daniella, and their children Ryan and Christopher.
Visitation for Joseph will be Friday, July 14, 2023 from 5-8 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ. A graveside Service will be Saturday 10:00 Am at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Stirling, NJ. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Stirling Fire Company, 321 Somerset Street, Stirling, NJ.
