Obituary for Eleanor Z Kielblock

Eleanor Z. Kielblock died Friday, January 26, 2024 at her home in the Meyersville section of Gillette. She was 97.
Eleanor was born on September 15, 1926 in Gillette, NJ a daughter to the late Sophie (Illg) and Joseph Ziegelmeier. She was a lifelong resident of Meyersville, NJ.
She graduated High School from Morristown High School.
She started her career at the Piston Ring Factory in Stirling, NJ, worked as a telephone operator starting in Millington, NJ then Plainfield, NJ and was a school bus driver for many years. She was the wife of a farmer Edward A. Kielblock on Meyersville Road in Meyersville, NJ.
Eleanor was a life member of the Meyersville Grange, a member of the County Board of Agriculture, the Farm Bureau, The National AACA and the New Jersey Region and Watchung Mountain AACA and the Telephone Pioneers. She was a lifelong member of the Meyersville Presbyterian Church.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Edward A. Kielblock in 2001, her brothers William, Fred, and Walter Ziegelmeier, Thomas and Donald Maines, her grandchild Theodore Jr. and 2 great grand-babies Sylvi and Madison.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter Barbara Moody and her husband Theodore, her two sons Edward A. "Skeeter" Kielblock Jr. and his companion Erin Gilmartin, Robert C. Kielblock and his wife Lisa, a sister Mae Kingman and her husband Bill. Eleanor’s 8 grandchildren include Amy, Daniel, William, Kirsten, Alyssa, Emma, Jacob and Ann. Her 12 great grandchildren include Scarlett, Wesley, Joshua, Daniel Jr., Alexandria, Julia, Alletta, Soren, Lucca, Charles, Michael V and Ellowyn.
Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2024 from 4-8 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Meyersville Presbyterian Church, 223 Hickory Tavern Road Gillette, NJ. Burial will follow at Meyersville Cemetery, Meyersville Road, NJ.
