Basking Ridge, NJ

Mrs. Lynn O’Leary nee: Hurley died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her home in Basking Ridge. She was 63.
Lynn was born in Manhattan, New York on March 4, 1948, a daughter of the late Ethel (Graham) and James Hurley. She then moved to Michigan before moving to Basking Ridge in 2002.
She was a graduate of St. Alphonsus High School in Manhattan, NY. Soon after she began work at AIME, then General Motors. She continued to work at several GM Divisions upon moving to Michigan. She retired from Detroit Diesel after 25 years.
She was pre-deceased by her husband and co-worker Richard Thomas O’Leary in March of 2000, and her brother James in 1970.
Lynn is survived by two sisters, Mary Hurley and Jacqueline Hurley, two brothers, John, husband of Linda Hurley and Robert, husband of Mindy Hurley, five step-children: Kathleen O’Leary, Jeanne O’Leary, Mary Jane Belko, Daniel and John. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, Stirling, NJ, at 10:00 AM with Father Richard Carton officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ.
