Mrs. Carol Ekholm died March 14, 2012 at her home in Basking Ridge. She was 72.
Carol was born in Morristown, NJ on November 28, 1939, a daughter of the late Elsie (Dankenbring) and Wally Wallhausen.
Carol worked as a homemaker while moving her family across the world to Singapore, Australia, and London, England. She returned to Basking Ridge in 1986.
She was a very active member of the Somerset Hills Lutheran Church in Basking Ridge, and had a devotion to their Mission Work. She later worked as the Office Manager from 1994-2012. Both Elsie and Wally Wallhausen were charter members of the church.

She received a B.S from Valparaiso University in Indiana
Carol is survived by two daughters, Tracy L, wife of Dean Druckenmiller, and Kelly A, wife of Theodore Vitolo, a son David W. Ekholm, a sister, MaryLynn Nervine, and 5 grandchildren Alex, Drew, Gavin, Luke and Audrey.
A memorial Service will be held Saturday March 31, 2012, 11:00 AM at the Somerset Hills Lutheran Church in Basking Ridge, NJ. Cremation was private and under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ 07933.
