Ida E. Blaschek died Monday, December 18, 2017 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ. She was 98.

Ida was born in Bruchsal, Germany on June 14, 1919, a daughter of the late Anna (Baron) and Eugene Steiert. She immigrated in 1953 to East Orange, NJ before moving to Millington in 1958.
She worked as a Book Keeper for her family business, Fredrich J. Blaschek Marble and Tile in Millington, NJ.
She was a Communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church Stirling, NJ and was a member of the Alter Rosary Guild. She was a member of the Schwaebischer Saenger Chor in Clark, NJ, and was a member of the Long Hill Senior Citizens.

She was pre deceased by her husband Fredrich J. Blaschek in 2002.

Ida is survived by a son, Dr. Hans Blaschek and his wife Linda, a daughter, Renate Blaschek and her companion Lloyd Negoescu and 2 granddaughters Kristen and Michelle. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, Sophia and Jack.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, 250 Bebout Ave., Stirling, NJ, at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 22nd, with Father Richard Carton officiating. Interment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul RC Church.
