Nona A. Butterworth died Monday, January 15, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. She was 74.
Nona was born in Totowa, NJ a daughter to the late Cecelia( Morris) and Harold Butterworth, where she lived until moving to Basking Ridge 14 years ago.
She was dedicated to her work in Social Services for the State of New Jersey her entire working career until she retired.
Nona was an avid artist with accomplished talent with acrylic landscape paintings. She was also a communicant at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling.
She was pre-deceased by her brother Donald J.
Nona is survived by her sister-in-law Ida Butterworth, 2 nephews Donald P. and his wife Loretta, and Michael and his wife Nora. She had 5 grandnieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 from the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 10:00 AM from St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, 250 Bebout Ave., Stirling, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Seplulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
